Tesla battery cells in for more juice, supplier Panasonic says

More energy could mean more juice for longer driving ranges.

Tesla and Panasonic’s relationship continues to grow, despite the fact Tesla now works with two additional cell suppliers in China, and the company plans to give the electric car-maker’s battery cells an energy boost.

Tesla Gigafactory 1 could grow as partner Panasonic reports more profits

The Gigafactory is supposedly stretched beyond capacity right now.


Not only did Tesla pull a profit in the first quarter of 2020, but its battery partner Panasonic said on Monday its battery business recorded earnings in the black, too, for the second time. Now, Gigafactory 1, based in Nevada, could see an expansion.
